It's alarming how many Christians say they believe certain things from the Bible but not others. The Bible isn't a menu for you to choose what you want from it. You have logic problems with that line of thought:

- you're saying that your limited knowledge and sinful nature is a better judge of what is right compared to God's unlimited knowledge and perfect nature

- you're saying that God would allow His Word to be corrupted

- if you can't trust the Bible, then what can you trust

God in the Old TestamentMany non-Christians take issue with God's actions in the Old Testament. But I've noticed a pattern in their arguments. They say "God killed those people so He's evil" and say nothing else about the incident. This leads me to believe they don't know the context of what they're upset about, nor have they done the research to see the pattern of God's actions. Below, I have broken down 5 instances of God's judgment.

1. The Global Flood
a. The world was full of evil people, sin, and corruption. (Gen. 6:5), (Gen. 6:1-2)
b. God warns that He will flood the world to destroy the evil (Gen. 6:13)

1. Secure in my Salvation

-The Qur'an says, "O ye who believe! Turn unto Allah in sincere repentance! It may be that your Lord will remit from you your evil deeds and bring you into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, on the day when Allah will not abase the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their light will run before them and on their right hands; they will say: Our Lord! Perfect our light for us, and forgive us! Lo! Thou art Able to do all things," (66:8-9). Notice how it says if you are sincere you may receive forgiveness.

-The problem there is this: how do you know you're sincere
